Les caméras VariCam de Panasonic sont connues dans l'industrie du cinéma notamment parce qu'elles enregistrent des images avec une chaleur, des textures et une tonalité proche des films. Cette qualité d'image qui caractérise les caméras VariCam a été transmise à deux nouvelles caméra P2 HD dont l'AJ-HPX3700 qui propose du RGB 4:4:4 en sortie en full-HD et avec gamma P-10Log. L'AJ-HPX2700 propose quant à elle une fonction de vitesse d'enregistrement variable de 1 à 60 ips. En ajoutant le système P2 basé sur des enregistrements de fichiers à la qualité et l'expressivité mondialement reconnues des caméras VariCam, ces deux modèles facilitent le workflow tout en réduisant les coûts.
